This project explores the process of purifying clay, to activate events of installation. Large length are fabric
are suspended in moments of exchange with the earth; it’s terrestrial origin. Like the image of the cosmic tree connecting
the underworld to the celestial. Collected fragments of the tree initiatives explorations of painting and marking making.
Cotton, water and clay
Cloth is used in the clay purification process, to filter out the water in the clay slurry. This slow process of takes days; during the clay becomes embedded into the fabric. The earth transmute in form; through its interaction with water and time.

This projection captures the trail of fabric lifting and moving with the passage of wind. An image which
can be imposed in any space, or on itself to suggest path in motion back into the Mother Earth.
A collected fragment of bark, initiates gestures of mark making.
The natural marks found are bark, are organised in seemingly both random forms and systems of pattern. Are the marks part of the communication and expression of the plant?
